Coat time of year has officially arrived and it’s time to start building your coat wardrobe back up again. It is so important to have a selection of coats as it’s pretty much the only part of your outfit you see in the Winter season so naturally you need an array of coats to go with different outfits and occasions.
To make it easier for you, I have come up with a list of coats that you need in your autumn winter wardrobe!!
5 COATS YOU NEED IN YOUR WARDROBE
A camel coat is an all time wardrobe staple. You really can’t go wrong with classic coat and this style in particular comes back into fashion every year so it’s worth finding one that really works for you! I currently do not own a camel coat and I am currently on a mission to find the perfect one. There are so many on the high street but I cant find one that fits the vision that I have.
This technically isn’t really a coat but it’s a piece that I think every autumn wardrobe should have. Leather jackets are great for throwing on over lightweight knits for those warmer autumn days. Not only is it a great piece to wear before the weather really gets cold but it also acts as a layering piece to pop underneath a coat as the weather does get colder.
Some people may say a the teddy coat trend is long gone but I really don’t think you can beat a warm cosy teddy coat. They are the perfect fit for a freezing winter day. Equally if your not into the teddy style, you could go for a faux fur coat as they always always come back into fashion year after year. I have a gorgeous teddy coat from last year but currently cannot wear it as its at home in the UK and not here with my in Amsterdam. When I take my next trip home…it will be doing straight in my suitcase.
A trench is a timeless classic that without fail becomes a trend every autumn. This is one of those pieces that is worth spending a little extra on. I have a gorgeous Jack Wills trench which I was gifted last year and Im still so in love with it. It’s definitely worth finding one that you love and feel amazing in because it is most likely going to last you for many years to come.
Trend Coat – Vinyl
Every year there will always be a coat that fits into the ‘trend’ column which isn’t necessarily one that will last until next year. This year vinyl is huge and If you’re going to spend your money on any trend this autumn, vinyl is the one.
