Its that time of year when I start reflecting on my year so far and what I have managed to achieve. At the start of every year, I set myself a range of goals to try and achieve by the end of the year. Sometimes, I manage to achieve them all and sometimes…they’re a little harder than I expected. This year, I have already managed to cross quite a few goals off of my list which means I’m at a point where I can set myself a few more to achieve before the year is up.
We may only have 3 months left of the year but you can do a lot in those 3 months
My end of year goals..
To be enjoying my job and London life
My new job is something very much out of my comfort zone but incredibly exciting. Its going to most likely suck the life out of me to begin with but I hope by the end of the year, I really do enjoy it and challenging myself every day. This will be my first London job so its going to be a massive change but I hope by the end of the year, I’m loving the London life and enjoying what my job and London has to offer. whether that be taking opportunities in work or just enjoying a drink after work.
Making the most of opportunities
Since I will be spending a lot more of my time in London, I really want to make the most of any opportunities that come my way. Previously, I have turned down a lot of blog events or things going on in London just due to the sheer effort or even just not wanting to go all the way to London. since Ill already be in London, I want to make the most of the opportunities that do come my way. For instance like a blogger event that starts at 6pm. Less thinking about the time I need to be awake and more about taking the opportunities and enjoying my time.
Keeping up my blog and Youtube
I know I keep mentioning my new job but it will mean a lot less time will be spent on my blog and youtube. Not because I want to but because I will be commuting everyday and the evenings are going to get darker. Less light means less time to shoot or feel energised to work BUT I want to make an conscious effort to keep going and work hard on it. After all I absolutely love my blog so I dont ever want to lose it. Something I am already doing is prepping my posts and planning ahead so that I can give myself a little bit of leeway if I lose myself in the world of work.
Hitting my next goal on Instagram
At the end of August, I hit 10K on instagram and honestly, I didn’t actually expect it to happen this year. There was a point where I was losing so many followers, I thought Id be losing them more than I’d ever be gaining them. But ever since I changed my photo style and what I was actually posting, It changed and more people were interested in what I had to post which is amazing. I am always looking to reach my next goal and my next Instagram goal is to reach 12K by the end of the year. I think thats a pretty reasonable goal to reach and if I out do my goal then thats an amazing bonus.
If you’re like me and live for setting goals or need a bit of a pick me up now that the weather is getting colder, set yourself a few goals and see what you can achieve by the end of the year. I feel like its the perfect time to get motivated and try and achieve those goals you advent quite completed yet.
