Theres something about a black and white outfit in with a black and white filter that just works so well…do you know what I mean? Like I did it on a complete wim because the originals were just not quite up to scratch but now I’m like yasssssss.
I have spoken previously about the heritage trend which is sweeping all of the high street stores at the moment and I’ve delved into the trend more than I would have expected and I found this GORGE check slip dress in ZARA and I just had to have it. You probably can tell that I am all for the grungey look this Autumn winter. I feel like its just more me than being the girly winter girl.
Do you know what this outfit makes me think of? It makes me think of a like a school girl who’s a bit of a rebel and has re designer her school uniform and this is what she’s come up with? do you know what I mean. Some sort of St Trinians vibes but in the present day. I don’t know but I’m rolling with it.
I have styled the slip dress with a long sleeve crop top which is of course necessary at this time of year as I don’t want to be freezing to death. I have also styled the dress with a pair of jeans, now I know this isn’t a look that everyone is going to agree with but its a look that I just adore. Its like the girliness of a dress mixed with the comfort of not having to worry about the fact your bum might be on show if the wind picks up a little. I also think it gives the perfect grungey vibe which I am all about. I finished the look with my leather jacket, chunky chelsea boots and my good old Zara bag which I cannot stop wearing. `
