Whats In My Make Up Bag – Holiday Edition

Whats In My Make Up Bag – Holiday Edition
I am not a massive make up girl and when it comes to holiday make up, I become even less of make up girl. Going on holiday is the perfect time to let your skin breathe and not wear make up every single day. Who needs to wear make up when you are sat by the pool all day anyway. It is always nice to glam up for the evening when you are away so I thought I’d show you the few make up bits I took away with me on my recent trip away.
My holiday make up bag isnt much different than my normal make up bag but I guess these are the items I use on the daily and know if I want to get a nice simple make up look, I’ve got the products I need. All the brushes I use are Real Techniques, I love their brushes and last do long as well.
Lets jump in a see whats inside my make up bag…
THE BASE
Foundation is something I very rarely change in my make up bag, once I’ve found one I love, I literally stick to it for ages before I change it up. For the days when I’m out and about and just want to have something on my face to at least make me look alive, I use the Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Tinted Moisturiser which doesn’t give a huge amount of coverage but its perfect for holiday and give you a little bit of a glow. It’s also a great product for those good skin days. I would highly recommend it.
For a little bit more coverage, I use the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation which Im obsessed with at the moment, it stays on all day and thats all I need. It also give create coverage which again is exactly what I need. I love that it gives a glowy look to your face but can easily give a matte vibe with some powder.
My concealer of choice here isn’t actually my usual choice but I wanted to use it up. This concealer is very expensive for what it is and this one was actually too dark for me. Definetly going to stick to my trusty Revlon Colourstay Concealer – honestly its amazing!

The Bare Minerals Matte Powder is a fabulous product. Not only does it give a matte look but it also doesn’t create a cakey look which is fab. This is classed as more of a foundation but its great to use over the tinted moisturiser just for a little bit of extra coverage. You can also use it on its own, if you’ve got fab skin that is.
BRONZER

I am obsessed with this Bronzer. If you have never tried Benefit Hoola Bronzer, you need to because it is amazing. I am a pale gal and it works perfectly with my skin tone. I know people with darker skin tones who use it and love it too. Honestly a product you need to try!
They have also brought out a lite version which I am dying to try as I’m curious how well it will work with my pale skin.
EYES & BROWS

I am simple human when it comes to eyes and brows. This is the Archery Pencil by Soap & Glory, Its basically just a eye brow pencil but it does the job and makes my eyebrows look a little bit more put together. Anyone else have unruley eyebrows?
In terms of eyes, Im a mascara girl only all the way. This is a L’oreal mascara I was trying out which I actually really liked and was great to take on holiday as I could really work out if I liked it or not. I would usually use the Benefit Roller Lash – its fabulous!
LIPS

Lip products have to be one of my favourite thing about make up. I have a lovely little collection of lip products which is forever growing. Liquid lipsticks are everywhere at the moment and Im loving nude lip colours. These ones here are the Barry M Lip Paint and the NYX Lip Lingerie in Lace Detail.
The one lip product I found myself using the most during my trip was this Clinique Chubby Stick which gave the perfect natural lip and is the perfect natural lip for a holiday look. Definitely going to be getting a lot of wear out of that over the summer!

HIGHLIGHTER

My final make up item is my trusty Sleek Highlighter which I am obsessed with. Honestly I use this every day and I cannot get enough. This one is in solstice and its the perfect glow and works perfectly with my skin tone. I would highly recommend!
Do we have any products in common?
