The ruffle trend has got to be one of my favourite trends that has hit the runway so far this year and you can find it in pretty much every store on the high street. It is safe to say that I 100% have an obsession with this ruffle trend and I don not see myself drifting away from it anytime soon.
I wanted to show you a casual way to style up this trend without it being too over the top and in your face. Im not a very out there kinda of girl when it comes to my clothes so it cane be difficult when it comes to items that include the ruffle trend as the majority of ruffle pieces are more on the statement side.
This top I found in H&M and it has got to be one of my favourite tops in wardrobe at the moment. It just has so much sass and really brings the outfit alive. Its not just a simple top and jeans outfit, it just feels like so much more and its all down to these crazy sleeves. This is a great way to incorporate the ruffle trend into your wardrobe as this top is more of a relaxed material but still has the structure to keep the ruffles fall in the correct way. This top is also one that you can easily dress up or down, I have previously posted this on Instagram, styling it with a pair of trousers and loafers which gives more of a smart vibe. This look is very much, casual but put together.
I have teamed the top with a pair of Topshop Jamie Jeans which have changed my feeling towards blue jeans. I have never really been a fan, I mean I had one 1 pair which I wear in the summer but that was about it. These jeans fit like a glove and are perfect for this time of year. Topshop are bringing out some great jean choices at the moment so go have a look. I have popped on a western style belt from H&M to bring the top and jeans together. I also think the belt works really well with the sleeves and kind of carries on that western vibe in a way…anyone else feeling that?
For accessories, I kept it pretty simple as the top is what you came to look at. My bag of choice is this beautiful animal print bag from Accessorize which I adore. It’s the perfect bag to bring such a simple neutral outfit together and its nice to add a little splash of animal print here and there…..Here is a similar bag…..My shoes are a pair of slip on sandals I guess you could call them from H&M…..can you tell I love H&M at the moment? These are great pair of thrown on shoes for the spring time which instantly give a girly feel to the outfit and they go with everything!
Before I forget, My watch is from Olivia Burton….It never leaves my wrist, Im obsessed with it.
