You may or may not know that over the last 6 months I have been under going my Invisalign treatment. Its something you may not know as I really don’t shout about it at all really. I am perfectly happy for people to know about it but its just not something that I really ever talk about.
This is a journey which has honestly been one of the best decisions I have ever made and I have been documenting throughout the process whats been going on and all that jazz. You can read my previous updates….
If you’re looking to find out where I currently am with my teeth situation then you’ve come to the right place or should I say blog post.
Recently I came towards what I hoped would be the end of my Invisalign process. I was on holiday and put in my final brace…I had 20 aligners…. which was such an exciting moment as I really didn’t ever expect it to come round so soon. A week later I went to the dentist to basically see where I was and to see if my teeth had moved as much as they predicted they would. My dentist had always said, you might have to have a few more aligners after there done so I was prepared for what was to come during my appointment.
To begin with she analysed my teeth and had good old look around my mouth. She asked me multiple times whether I was happy with them and to me they’re amazing because they look nothing like what they did before but what I see wasn’t going to be what she would say was perfect. I am super happy with where they have got to. The next step was to have all my attachments taken off which was a strange process but nothing I couldn’t handle. The nicest part was once they were off I could run my touch across my teeth and actually feel how straight they were. To cut a long story short, we decided that it would be a good idea to have a few more aligners just to make my teeth perfect. They’re pretty straight now as they are but since I am already in this process I might as well take the opportunity to make my teeth perfect. Also don’t want to look back and think why didn’t I have a few more and just make them perfect. It does mean Ive got to have more braces but its not going to take any more than 2 months before they’re done which really isn’t too bad if you ask me.
I then had moulds taken and photos which is just part of the process when it comes to getting Invisalign. And they have now been sent off and I am currently awaiting a day to go back and have my new braces fitted. Whilst I wait, I have been given teeth whitening stuff to put in my current brace which has already definitely made so much difference to the colour of my teeth which makes me want to smile even more.
The biggest downside to having to have more aligners is that I have to wear my last brace until I get the new ones and it doesn’t make my smile look as nice when they’re on so I’m constantly taking them off for any photos or when I want to take a nice selfie. Soon enough I wont have to do that but I am so happy with my teeth and I can’t wait to see where they get to by the end of this process.
I know you’re probably dying to see before photos but I don’t want to release those photos until I have my perfect teeth. I will 100% be sharing that with you when I have finished as its been a fab process which I highly recommend. You will be seeing don’t worry!
Until then all I can give you is the confidence that Invisalign is SOOOOOO worth it and for anyone who’s thinking about it or wants to know more, go to a dentist and speak to them about it. Doesn’t mean you have to get them but at least you know what your options are. I promise you, its worth it!
Keep a look out for my final Invisalign post…Will most likely be with you in July so please do follow my blog or follow me on Instagram – @iamcharlotteolivia for that exciting post.
