This time of year always catches me out with what to wear. One minute its warm and you can crack out the spring wardrobe, next minute its cold and you need 5 layers, a coat and scarf. You just can’t win. I absolutely love this time of year, I am a spring baby so naturally I’m a fan. Spring fashion is something that I love to experiment with as your outfit is hidden away by a massive coat. I have recently bought a few new pieces for my spring wardrobe and thought I’d share a few little snippets of them. I am hoping to feature these pieces in outfit posts and will most likely feature on my Instagram!
Boho Lace Dress
This beautiful piece is the cross my heart lace tunic from Free People and Im in love. Its not something I would usually purchase as I don’t really wear dresses on the daily but I really wanted to treat myself for my birthday and I felt this would be the perfect piece for summer as well as holidays as I do have one coming very soon. I originally bought it to wear on my birthday night out but its too precious to wear to a club full of people who will most likely spill their drinks all over it. The only downside is I’m not 100% on whether I’m going to keep it. I absolutely love it but I just don’t know how much wear I will get out of it but I might just see if I choose to take it on holiday with me, if not i’ll send it back. I would 100% recommend it though it is beautiful.
Wrap Ankle Sandals
As you may or may not know recently Public Desire were doing 40% off everything on their website so I had a little looksy and found these absolute beauties. I was on the hunt for a pair of heeled sandals which were comfortable but were high enough for a night out. I really wanted to be that girl with the wrap around heels and this is exactly that but the comfy option. I LOVE these and will be wearing them all summer and if they do them in other colours, I am totally getting those too.
Flirty, Feminine Tie Sleeve Top
Zara are absolutely killing it at the moment, every time I go in there I end up buying something. I found this beauty of a top in there the other day and count pass it up. Its all my favourite things in one top…tie sleeves, fluted sleeves, white top and girly details. For a lack of a better word, its such a ME top. Its also perfect for the english summer weather as the weather here is so un predictable. I bought this top in a Medium which isn’t my size at all so if you’re going to buy this I would recommend either sizing up or trying it on before you buy it. I prefect my tops slightly looser so I went for the Medium.
Tie Sleeve Bardot Top
I have previously featured this top on my blog but its the perfect top for this time of year especially for spring evenings or night outs. Its a great way to bring in the Bardot style in your spring wardrobe without looking like you’re ready for summer 3 months early.
White V Neck T-shirt
I love it when T shirt weather rolls around. T shirts are one of my favourite items to wear, especially with a pair of jeans. Its a classic look which I always go back to and teaming the look with a statement jacket is one of my favourite looks to go for. I recently bought this one in Zara and it is a tad see through but I bought it with the idea of wearing a bralette underneath. I believe this one was £12 which I don’t think is too bad.
Black Lace Bodysuit
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen this lace bodysuit but its the one that everyone has from Pretty Little Thing. I absolutely love it, its the right kind of sexy which you can layer like this or wear with a skirt on a night out. Head over to my Instagram – @iamcharlotteolivia to see what it looks like styled a slightly different way.
Floaty Summer Top
I recently found this beauty of a top in Brandy Melville and had to buy it. This is exactly my type of summer top. This teamed with a pair of blue jeans and cute sandals in the summer would make a perfect summer evening outfit. I believe they also sell it in black as well. If you’re looking for basics, Brandy Melville is the place you need to go!
What was your favourite item? and what items would you like to see styled on my blog?
