My Invisalign journey has been an okay ride so far and today marks the day I put in my 10th aligner which means we’re at the half way point. I don’t really talk about my Invisalign journey all that much on social media or in my private life at all. Not because I don’t want to talk about it but its become just part of my everyday life and I don’t feel the need to shout about it. Also I haven’t really got far with it as of yet so I can’t rejoice and say how amazing it is just yet.
Today I bring you a little catch up on how it is going so far. I started wearing my Invisalign aligners at the start of November and was changing them every 2 weeks which I didn’t really like because it elongates the time but I was happy with that. Before Christmas I went to the dentist as one of my attachments had fallen off and my dentist told me that she went to some sort of Invisalign conference…I had no idea that was even a thing…and she told me that younger people can change their aligners every week which was like music to my ears. It basically means that my teeth will move quicker and I will finish my Invisalign by the start of April rather than the end of July which had me smiling like the photo above. Ever since I have been changing them every week, I have felt so much better about myself and the process. I think its because I am starting to see a difference and that just shows that its working!
In terms of how much my teeth have changed, there isn’t a huge difference that I can see. They have definitely moved and are becoming straighter and straighter as the weeks go on which fills me with so much joy. They don’t look too bad in the photo but I have whitened my teeth so that they don’t look un appealing. I have to admit the way they look isn’t something I personally want to share until they’re finished so that I can show off just how much they have changed.
They have become a part of my daily life now and only occasionally do they properly hurt but I can’t believe that I am half way through and by the time it gets to my birthday I will be 2/3 weeks away from finishing which is super exciting.
